cavanami
Small question. Is Jum a Thai name for a man or a woman? Is this a nickname for a proper Thai name? and what would that proper Thai name be?
Guest
Only Jums i've known were female...not sure about the proper Thai name bit, the Jums i've known had unrelated Thai names, like many nick names.

elef
I know 5 Yum (spelling in Sweden) and all are female, but AFAIK all nicknames are used by both sexes.
..
And nicknames usually have no relation to the real name. Exceptions I know of are Wan (real name Jaruwan) and Porn (real names: Supaporn, Woraporn, Pongchai, etc.). But usually, it is something like Tangmo (real name Pattaratida). See, no relation. And just for fun, and because she's hot, here's Tangmo. Say hi to the boys, Tangmo: Cheers, SD

Names I know of: Yu - Yupin / Yupaa Nuch - Noosara Jai - Somjai I'm sure there's more. Sanuk!
