Gamerooms

These games are not just shoot and kill everybody.

Many of the games are team based and you have to take their flag from their base to your base. Tribes2 has gotten more sophisticated and I believe there are different types of missions including one where a team escorts a target and the other attacks. I know they have several vehicles like tanks, APC's, and flyers which you can use.

Other game goals include maps where you fight over a flag to get it back to your scoring pad.

Many of the games have different maps with differing objectives (capture the flag, escort, blah blah). It can get pretty fun and competitive if you have a good team with folks dedicated for offense and defense.

I used to be a hardcore Team Fortress Classic player and was actively recruited (never did join a team) and even banned from several sites (some folks just hate being killed time and time again smile.gif" border="0.

Do not venture into these game rooms without knowing the mapped keys or it will definitely be no fun. If you know the keys, you can spend hours before you become familiar with one of the maps and actually contribute to your team.

If any of you are up to getting a team together, I'd probably be game (least depending on the game. No pun intended). I am not a Quake guy as that is not a team based game.

Hi,

When I first started working, a colleague, me and 2 friends spend many an hour after work playing Age of Empires over the company network. Great fun.

Have, unfortunately, not played anymore.

Wouldn't mind doing so again, but like Gummigut I am not really into the Quake kind of games. I like realtime strategy more.

(Also heavily into Diable II at the moment)

Sanuk!
