Guest
does anybody know if the free ISP TOT online number (1222) is a local call rate in Prachuab province or just for BKK?
Sarisin
I just signed up with SAMART for internet service. I live in BKK and have a different dial-up number which is local. However, when I travel throughout Thailand (most provinces, if not all) I dial up using 1222. I have had a few problems with busy signals and not being able to connect to the SAMART computer, but the service is better than what I was used to with Loxinfo. And, unlimited at less than 1/3 the cost. I did see a complaint in The Post today about the 1222 TOT number though.
Guest
yeah the connection is hosted through CS i think, here in hua hin the connection is terrible, the 1222 number is no better. Is SAMART a new ISP then? are they country wide or only limited to BKK?
Sarisin
SAMART has been around for a long time countrywide. They have only recently started offering the low-cost unlimited service though. I have been virtually unable to connect the last few days (keep getting the error message that their computer does not answer). No response from the oxymoronic helpdesk and I get busy signals when I try to call. I may have made a mistake going with SAMART.
