Guest
I have looked and looked for a simple program to do one simple thing, but no dice. I want a program that will trim extraneous seconds from the beginning or end of an MP3, then save the file back into MP3 format. I have found programs that do the trimming, but don't have an MP3 encoder, so need to save back to WAV. I need this because sometimes the idiots who master CDs for the major labels insert the "breakpoint" between tracks at the stupidest places, so I need to cleanup their messes (e.g. why, for a live album, do they leave the intro for a song at the end of the previous track, rather than at the beginning of the track being introduced?) Anybody know of a good freeware/shareware program? For Win2000.

Guest
I use goldwave. I bought a crack version at Pantip and I must say it has all the necessary functions like trim, fade, maximize volume etc.
