Steve Posted November 21, 2007 Report Share Posted November 21, 2007 I recall seeing a Russian woman in Pattaya a few years ago and was surprised and said the one of the only 2 Russian phrases I knew and that was 'How are you?' She pretended she didn't hear me even though I knew she spoke Russian from overhearing her on the phone. Oh well. The Russian mob has really expanded overseas. Its big here in the U.S. The word is they have taken over the bookmaking in NY and much of the country from the weakened Italian mafia. When I was living in Tokyo several years ago russian hookers were just starting to make a presence there, replacing the blond, American 'hostesses' that used to be there.
