bust
As far as I know the decision has already been made but not announced yet, officially anyway. Makes sense though about the timing. Don Muang will take some time to be ready as they are currently doing major works on one of the runways. Maybe after Songkran? Anyones guess whether they will even consider using logic here.
Bkkbound04
More hypothetically, how would Taksin have dealt with it had he still been PM? would there be a problem ? JP
khunsanuk
Hi, "how would Taksin have dealt with it had he still been PM?" Have every reporter who mentions this fired or sued. Cover everything up until a plane crashes on the runway, then blame someone else. Sanuk!

Old Hippie
I forget the agency (ATA maybe?) That certifies airports and airlines etc...for international travel...if they get involved, it could be ugly...planes can land almost anywhere problem is punctured tires and FOD in the engines, resulting in millions of $$ in damage...which of course is of no concern to "Them..." exit2dos
Not only is it impractical but it is the ugliest airport in the world. On arrival, it looks like a giant catepillar crawling in a semi circle.
kojis
"Not only is it impractical but it is the ugliest airport in the world. Old Hippie
That is what bothers me...Thai's obsession with "face." It may well drive them to make a bad/wrong decision to try and save face...
