Suvarnabhumi Full Shut Down

bust

As far as I know the decision has already been made but not announced yet, officially anyway. Makes sense though about the timing. Don Muang will take some time to be ready as they are currently doing major works on one of the runways. Maybe after Songkran? Anyones guess whether they will even consider using logic here. :dunno:

I forget the agency (ATA maybe?) That certifies airports and airlines etc...for international travel...if they get involved, it could be ugly...planes can land almost anywhere problem is punctured tires and FOD in the engines, resulting in millions of $$ in damage...which of course is of no concern to "Them..."

"Not only is it impractical but it is the ugliest airport in the world.

On arrival, it looks like a giant catepillar crawling in a semi circle."

well... that's a matter of taste... find the building quite impressive in the right way from outside... and from Inside I'm with CT... love the whole TG F area... don't wanna end up in a plane crashing on the runway but sure would be a bummer to go back to worn out Don Muang...
