Thailand to play Holland

BANGKOK â?? Thailand have announced an international friendly meeting with Holland as part of their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup.

 

Thailand, who are co-hosting the tournament with Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia between July 7-29, will entertain Marco van Bastenâ??s side in Bangkok on June 6.

 

â??The Dutch will bring their full national team,â? the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) secretary general Worawi Makudi told www.thaifootball.com.

 

Thailand have been drawn in Group A of the Asian Cup alongside Australia, Iraq and Oman, while Holland have a break in their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign before taking on Bulgaria in September.

Yesterday's news in Holland stated that the trip wasn't confirmed eyt but todays paper say it's all in the can and will go ahead.
