what does "baa" mean?

This is definitely true when mixing with Thais who may not appreciate poorly worded Farang humour.

Maybe not quite so much in your own family circle or while taking a drink with young ladies of a certain profession. (They'd laugh at anything as long as the drinks keep coming.)

I wouldn`t exactly call Baa a swear word YMMV, it`s very commonly used, of course not exactly among strangers.

And I don`t really buy that "you can never be too polite" stuff.

I adjust my vocabulary to what I hear spoken to me, and if the speakers don`t appreciate that `cause I am a foreigner, well, they know what they can do.... or I shall be happy to make a few constructive suggestions.
