If everybody would just pay 1000 baht for LT then this would be all they would get no matter what the BGs expectations are. A market is settled by the amount of money the customer is willing to pay.

 

Obviously what's needed is some kind of punter's union. We need to set some standards. One thousand baht LT or I don't take my pants off.

Bangkok sanuk scene already lost it's appeal to me about two years ago when things got too expensive compared to the rest of the Thailand. Most of the Bangkok bars are really depressing these days, the mecenary attitude just drives the customers away .

 

But like someone said Pattaya is only 110 baht and two hours away. If I would work in Bangkok I'd probably head down to Pattaya every weekend.

It's only a matter of time before Pattaya becomes just like Bangkok, pricewise.

 

More and more people are skipping BKK altogether and heading straight from the airport to Pattaya. The city is experiencing a boom right now. IMO, fueled mainly by information people have gleaned from the internet.

 

I think eventually the wow factor will wear off. A new, cheaper destination with similar infrastructure will emerge. Maybe in Cambodia, maybe in the PI, who knows. The whordes will converge to this "new" place, and ruin it, just like they're doing to Pattaya now.

 

Maybe after everything has lost it's charm to the masses we'll see some normalcy returned to the scene in Thailand.

There are many upmarket venues popping up in Pattaya these days but unlike in Bangkok where most of the laid back areas have been bulldozed all the cheaper venues still exist in Pattaya. If you skip the most expensive gogos and other fancy bars and restaurants things are still relatively cheap and also cheap and comfortable lodging is easy to find.

 

It's ofcourse worrying that more and more rich ex-Bangkokpunters are heading there. Hopefully they frequent only the rip off venues of Pattaya and leave the rest of the city for us holidaymakers with normal salaries.

There are still plenty of girls willing to go for 1500 let alone 2000.

 

While I may pay more from time to time based on service rendered, I had no problem with these amounts a week ago in BKK or PTY, with the exception of one girl from Dejavu. I should have known she was going to be trouble when I saw her counting her drink tickets. "Not all mine, I hold for friends" she said. Yeah right. She was so cute I disregarded the needle on the bullshit meter.

 

Got back to my hotel and her attitude changes from pre-barfine. Starts talking about how she doesn't like foreplay and gets 3000 baht shortime. I laughed, decide to cut my losses and gave her taxi money to get the fuck out of my room.

 

25 minutes later I'm leaving Baccara with a cute little spinster who made me forget the Dejavu girl even existed.

 

There are far more girls than punters, so just move onto the next one.

Yes you are right! I am really not doing a good self advertising by saying this but if you want to have a cheaper girl then a GoGo bar might not be the perfect place to find them! Beer Bars are still a great way to find girls for an appropriate rate, Discos as well if you don't mind freelancers!

 

What some girls in gogo bars are trying to pull these days is ridiculous and even when I am mad at the overpayers I understand that they don't want any trouble with the girls. They come to have fun and don't want to fight over money but when prices reach a level that reminds me of western rates it is time to do something!

 

It is like going into a casino, you need to have a limit for yourself. Mine is 2000 baht for LT when it was really good and she gave her best. I do not and never will settle a price before, where is the motivation for her to give her best when she already knows what she will get? If she isn't happy with the payment it is up to her, I didn't tell her to become a hooker, it was her own choice! I am not Trapper John and count my girls, it should be about 100 girls and I had complaints only only twice, i can perfectly live with that ratio!
