stumpy
Hi guys, Thanks for the replies. Asking here is part of my research. I have learned more from the board than I ever would from a map. Regards, SD.

Barry
The boat across to Wat Arun cost 3 baht last year. The 2 girls I was with paid for me and didn't even ask for it back! A taxi driver once took me to a jetty for a river ride and they wanted 2000 baht per head. I do recommend the Saen Saeb ride though. That was quite an adventure for me. The pier is just off Soi 3 and takes you to the Golden Mount, changing at Pratunam. Cost was 12 baht a year ago. You pay a guy who clings to the outside as you hoon along the canal. The Golden Mount looks worth a visit and has views, but I haven't been up it yet. There are always taxis/tuk tuks at the end.
