Dental Work

I've got poor teeth. I have always been scared of the dentist but now is the time to do something about it, I reckon.

Can anyone give me the sort of ballpark figures that somewhere like Bumrungrad would charge to sort out my nashers ?

I know this is a "how long is s piece of string" question but I just need some sort of idea that's all...

It's impossible to give you a meaningfull answer until the extent of the work required is known, it's a bit like asking for the price of a ticket without knowing the destination. If you go to a reputable clinic they will examine you and give you an estimate for a small fee. IMO there's better choices out there than Bumrungrad. If money's an issue you could always have the basic work done at a general dentist and go to a specialist for the cosmetic work. There's quite a bit been posted on this subject over the last year or so, try a search.

I went to the dental hospital on soi 49 and was gouged on the price. If you go make sure you get a quote before the work is done. I thought I had agreed to one filling but they somehow boosted this to charging for four and would not back down even though the work was on one tooth they claimed work was needed to teeth either side. It would have been cheaper to have had the work done in the UK. Checked when got home and my dentist said only one filling had been done.

I use the asavanant clinic on Sukhimvit and Thonglor (Soi 55) right on Sukhimvit. I have had cerec inlays there and my kids have had major work there also. Not cheap, but good work, and for me, no pain, and I am absolutely chicken shit with dentists. Almost all dentists have degrees from US Universities and equipment is state of the art. Also, they do post their prices and will give a estimate for work to be done. Customers are farangs and rich Thai's. You can check out their web site:

www.asavanant.com for what they do and prices.

23,412 Baht to 'sort out your nashers'

That's what they charge for problems like yours.

As soon as you come off your milk round, get that yellow stained vest, your silly wee kiss me quick hat, a cheap flight via 5 diffrent countries, land in pattaya, wipe yourself on Noi and bosh.....go to the dentist and request the 'sort me nashers out' option

Or perhaps, email a dentist with an outline sof what's wrong.

Fuck me, I'm proud to be a yellow toothed English man

Dental hospital and bumrungrad or quite expensive by Thai stantards.I would suggest going to see Dr.Ladda, she has a office at the Landmark Hotel near Nana. Her prices or about 60% percent cheaper then Dental hospital and Bumrungrad.

She is quite nice and honest.3 years ago I had a root canal done on a back molar for about $150 dollars and a crown for about $100.In the States my dentist in San Francisco wanted $1200 for the root canal and $700 for the crown, and my insurance would only cover half of that.I still saved money by paying her full price.

Her prices may have gone up a bit sinse then, but still very affordable. She has many expats has customers
