CTO
Mine is "Delicious", the way my Thai teacher years ago told me "Aroi" by saying, "Ich mean DELIISHOUS" was wonderful, I could see her drool as she savoured the word and all it's meaning
samak
the one that really makes me get upset is "or something like that" when i started to work in Thailand, i spent hours asking questions about all kind of matters in our company. first they discussed among themselves in thai for 10-15 minutes. then they tried to explain with broken english what it was about. very difficult to get to the point. and in the end came the "or something like that" so that you knew, you had to ask the question again, even more simple than before.... Mekong
Funniest one that comes to mind is what my wifes aunt told me what the wife said the first time she visited them in Cananda. To strike up conversation with her Luk Krueng Canadaian cousins she spoke about religion but the name Jesus Christ was pronouned Jay Sue Crist, it took them ages to realise what she was on about and even to this day it is a standing joke at family gatherings.
