Found out that assumptions...are just that.

Hi guys,

Well,I just thought I would add this or share this.Somenights I ve lay awake, just the odd night, and thought about what girl infected me with HIV. I had been thinking and wondering if she knows she has it. I had maybe been contemplating trying to find the few girls if i could and tell them to get checked, or esle get someone to do it anonymously.

However, I found out when I was at my specialist last week, that I have tested to be resistant to any of the anti virals that contain abacavir, made by GSK. The doctor said that would be because the person who infected me would have been taking it.

So I had just assumed that the girl was an innocent victim who didnt know herself. I guess, I wished that to be the case. Its not nice to think that someone would knowingly let you sleep with them if they knew they were positive.

I m not being all moral about it, just making the point that its crazy to trust anyone in the p4p industry, and its wise to be very careful.

cheers.

The ladies in the p4p industry have completely blocked any responsible from their minds in that selling their bodies is:

1. something they have no choice but to do

2. they are doing it for a "higher" cause (supporting their children, parents, etc).

Watch the ladies as they walk in to NEP to "work". They all stop at the Spirit House there in say a short prayer...then they go off and drink, f$ck and whatever for the money.

She may have thought that since she was taking the medicine that she could not infect someone? who knows.

With these ladies...it's all about the $$$...and let the chips fall where they may.

Sorry that you were on the bad side of this but thanks for your insight as it keeps the rest of us aware of the hazards out there.

I saw some TV interviews with Thai play for pay folks of both genders when I was back in the States. What was amazing was that the vast majority didn't seem to think that HIV was any more serious that say the clap. They all said we'll just get a shot and be over it. It wasn't anything malicious on the gals' or guys' part. It was just plain ignorance!

Once again, God bless and keep your chin up. You make us all envy your positive attitude.

Yes, it could have been somebody "upstream" who had been taking the antiviral, and maybe it wasn't malicious because of ignorance or her condition or that it was something extremely serious.

And the only assumption one should make about sex with a stranger is that the other person is infected with many things your don't want.

Your totally right Rick. There goes me making assumptions now, lol. But I guess someone knew they had it, and passed it on knowingly. I guess we have read the stories in the past about the farang who gets infected, turns bitter and barebacks all the girls he can. Really bad thing to be at.

Cheers.

i must admit that in your original post where u seemed very concerned for the `innocent girl` i was skeptical. i think about it this way. a girl starts in the p4p industry. she contracts hiv from a punter. she then has two choices. go home and die knowing she cant pay for medication or keep working which will pay for her medication and u would imagine there`d be at least some bitterness against the punter and those `like him` that did this to her.

i imagine a lot of girls would choose the second option. just my humble opinion.

ive also talked to a farang punter who claims hes banged 300 hokkers bareback and only ever caught gonorhea once. he said that if he ever caught hiv hed continue to bb. many men in the gay community alos continue to bb after catching hiv. i wouldnt be surprised that she knew what she was doing after all. ignorance? maybe but i bet the doctors explained to her what hiv is.
