samak
sami is a more polite word for husband; phua a bit less polite phua noi would be minor husband
Pescator
Phanraya and Samee polite words for wife and husband Pua and Mia colloquial words Pua noi and Mia Noi for lover and mistress Mia Luang first wife, never heard Pua Luang although it most certainly would be understood. The word faen is more unspecific, can mean both boyfriend/girlfriend as well as lover. Often used when you are not quite sure of someones maritial status. Finally, Gik the ideal solution

rookie
...'phua satarana = public husband' And would 'mia satarana' mean public wife... but would that lead to your death if you called that to a BG??

frede
Pua Luang .....Though to use that word combination is unusual, Mia Luang, yes. The other would likely just raise a giggle
