Yes, drogon, Belgian and hope to be that for many more years, I do not see any reason why the country should split up. Funny politics, but then again, we deserve the politicians that we elected. spirit_of_town_hall Posted November 29, 2007 Report Share Posted November 29, 2007 Hi, Ik spreek een beetje Nederlands, most people from Holland and Belgium ( the north) speak excellent English so its hard to practice. I am a big fan of Robert Van Gulik detective novels, they are set in the far east, China . If I read them very slowly I can understand the Dutch. The trouble with the Netherlands is that everyone speaks such excellent English, even the scum bags; so when I speak Dutch they answer in perfect English.
