June 2008 in Austria-Switzerland The final draw for UEFA EURO 2008â?¢ is taking place this Sunday, 2 December 2007, in Lucerne. Starting at 12.00, the 16 qualifying nations will be drawn into four groups and musical interludes will be provided by Spanish star tenor José Carreras and by the Vienna Boys' Choir. The running theme of the 52-minute programme is â??Football meets classical musicâ?Â. In addition to José Carreras and the Vienna Boysâ?? Choir, there will be performances by the Berne Bach Choir, the ORF Orchestra and Swiss alphorn player Eliana Burki. Another item on the agenda is the presentation of the official UEFA EURO 2008â?¢ match ball. Swiss actress Melanie Winiger and Rainer Pariasek, TV presenter on Austriaâ??s ORF, will guide viewers and guests through the programme. Pot 1 Switzerland Austria Greece Holland Pot 2 Croatia Italy Czech Rep Sweden Pot 3 Romania Germany Portugal Spain Pot 4 Poland France Turkey Russia UEFA calculated the seedings using the qualification results for the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008. Switzerland and Austria are automatically classed as top seeds because they are hosts...... the World Champions Italy are only worthy of a place in the 2nd pot. and Germany are ranked lower than Sweden and France must be pissed off being classed as useless. so there is a possibility of groups like.... Austria. Sweden. Romania. Poland. or............ Holland. Italy. Germany. France. the Groups used to be decided on World rankings,but now seems it's if your face fits....
