khun_khon_neua
Are you submitting the I-130 to the Bangkok USCIS office? If you live in Thailand you are allowed to do this, it can cut the time down to a couple of months, start to finish.
Weird
No, I have to submit it in the US.

HSTEACH
Good luck to you! I did the I-130/K-3 four years ago and all's still well. After this step, you have to face the I-485, LPR, another 1+ years of waiting. Be patient, the USCIS works at a snail's pace.
HSTEACH
Hate to inform you, but according to the USCIS email update I just received, (suggest you sign up for these) due to the influx of petitions the USCIS has received, processing for immigrant petitions will be delayed and will take some 9-10 months to process. Sorry... Be patient and good luck!
Weird
For which service center? According to their website for the service center I filed at they are currently processing applications for the I-130 for 6-7 months ago
HSTEACH
"Immigrant petitions for relatives and workers may take 9-10 months." Taken from the Q/A on the front page of the USCIS home page about delays in processing petitions due to the influx of petitions received last summer. passingthru69
Well when we submitted my wife's papers last year for a 485. change of status, we filed it in March. They threw us a curve by asking for copy of her birth cert. Also in english. Well my wife had a copy of that.. Then emailed it off to get translated. Sent it in. Did the finger print thing.Got her 2 year status card,by June. When I checked the web site it was showing like a 9/12 month backlog.
