PP
Can anyone recommend a 'decent' nightclub in Bangkok where a 'young' couple in their late 40's can go for a dance in the evening. Spasso would be maybe too upmarket (and expensive?) and Angels definitely too down market. What about CM2? Or is it TOO full of FLs? (and where is it) Or any other recommendations (HippoDome and NASA were faves before but they're not there now.) Or maybe places with a good band to dance to? Hugh_Hoy
What kind of music? Pop? Rock? Latin? Big Band? If Latin, check out the Mexican restaurant in the Rembrandt hotel. They have some good Latin beats if you like Tango, Cha-cha, Rumba, Somba, etc. Decent sized dance floor that will hold about 20 people doing their thing. Nice atmosphere; food about a 5 out of 10. (Not recommended for Mexican food.) Bands encourage requests. And no friggin' comments about HH doing the tango. HH

SatRai
Xzyte by Don MuangRCA - Hollywood, Route 66 Patpong - Muzik Cafe, Radio City Have my doubts about Hollywood as the coyote dancers sometimes get 99% topless. Some women won't feel comfortable in such a place.
Old Hippie
How important is dancing? Maybe try the jazz clubs Brown Sugar and Saxophone Pub. Not really dance bars though...What about Novotel Disco? or the Disco in the Baiyoke Sky Tower? Bed Supper club?
messi
Bar Su at Sheraton Sukhumvit may another good option. Most of the people are around 30-40 years old and last time I was there (a few months back) they didn't let in any FL or similar.
