3juddy3 Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 Ha Ha I love the Pattaya/Bangkok argument. Pattaya is now pretty good for shopping as well. If you play golf at all then Pattaya. I just think that if you don't wear the Northern UK uniform as mentioned before then you actually get treated a little better. Its true that Pattaya is a hovel but there are a lot of great places to find once you get friendly with locals and expats there. The major fact is that on a holiday you want to party all night. This you can do really cheaply in Pattaya, but not a chance in BKK. Nobody likes the stupid late night "private clubs and after hours clubs" fiasco after 1 AM or so in BKK. Not to mention the traffic and taxis, huge barfines and attitudes and lack of skin seen on dancers. REMEMBER that PTY is pretty inexpensive and NEVER closes.
