Munchy - can you sit on these guys or something!

Do they have the guts to go to a Friday meeting and "introduce" themselves? No... didn't think so. Just keyboard warriors in the extreme.

Fuckwits! :D

Better still.. why doesn't KS or the mods just lock this thread so we don't have to listen to their incessant whinging anymore? (Unless KS is really Bung-Hole, Gel-Breath or whatever they're names are :hmmm: )

Seeing as this is the *ONLY* thread these trolls contribute to... surely enough is enough! :dunno:

Seems the anti-smoker brigade has some help:

Quit it, billionaires encourage smokers

By SARA KUGLER

Microsoft founder Bill Gates and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg are pooling their piles of money to pour $375 million into a global effort to cut smoking.

The billionaire philanthropists, who have a combined worth of more than $70 billion, said Wednesday that the money will help efforts in developing countries where tobacco use is highest. There are more than one billion smokers worldwide.

The $250 million from Bloomberg and $125 million from Gates will support projects that raise tobacco taxes, help smokers quit, ban tobacco advertising and protect nonsmokers from exposure to smoke.

It will also aid efforts to track tobacco use and better understand tobacco control strategies.

''Together we can make a clear, measurable difference -- not just for ourselves and our generation but for the generations that come after us,'' Bloomberg said.

...That money goes toward tobacco-fighting campaigns in low- and middle-income countries, most specifically China, India, Indonesia, Russia and Bangladesh. Bloomberg Philanthropies is also conducting a survey to better understand smoking in those countries.

The Gates Foundation has until now focused most of its world health dollars on fighting malaria, AIDS and other diseases.

The anti-tobacco campaign represents a new direction for the Seattle-based organization, which since 2006 has also been charged with giving away billions from investor Warren Buffett.

Actually I'd like to go to a Friday meeting, but the hostility shown by the smoking BMs makes me think this would not be an enjoyable experience. BTW, does Toxic allow smoking inside?

Smokers, more good news for those of you who would like to get out from under your addiction, and let those near you breathe!

From Bangkok Post 4/8/08, page 4:

NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SCHEME

New drug to be made available to help smokers quit

APIRADEE TREERUTKUARKUL

An anti-depressant drug, proved to be effective in tackling smoking addiction, will be offered under the universal healthcare scheme to encourage long-term smokers to quit the habit. Prateep Tanakitcharoen, deputy secretary-general of the National Health Security Office, said Nortriptyline would be added to the national drug list to help reduce the cost of treating smoking-related illnesses. It will be offered to patients under the scheme to help them quit smoking.

The drug costs only one baht a tablet and each smoker needs 270 tablets over a period of three months to increase his chances of quitting, said Somsri Pausawasdi, president of Healthcare Network against Tobacco Consumption.

''Although Thailand has been praised worldwide for its efforts to control tobacco, the country could still do more to improve access to treatment among smokers,'' she said.

An estimated 11 million Thais are smokers. Each year, about 60 billion baht is spent on treating smoking-related illnesses, such as lung cancer, bronchitis, heart and cardiovascular diseases.

More than 50,000 Thais die of tobacco-related diseases each year.

Katha Bunditananukul, president of Thai Pharmacy Network for Tobacco Control, said Nortriptyline had more side-effects than newer drugs, including dry mouth and throat, and headaches. However, the newer ones were also more expensive.

Tests over 20 years had shown that the drug could help tackle long-term smoking addiction.

Many domestic and international studies show a strong link between depression and smoking.

He believed making Nortriptyline _ a second generation tricyclic anti-depressant marketed under the trade names Sensoval, Aventyl, Pamelor, Allegron and Nortrilen _ available under the universal healthcare scheme would strengthen tobacco control efforts.

In February, authorities imposed a ban on smoking in entertainment outlets. The ban covers air-conditioned bars, pubs, discos and clubs.

The Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Centre at Mahidol University is studying its effects.

The number of young Thai female smokers has increased by 10%, according to a survey of 3,093 female students. New smokers are as young as 12 years old.

Staporn Jirattananon, campaigner for the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation, or ASH Thailand, said tobacco companies developed sales strategies such as offering flavoured and thin-sized cigarettes to draw females.

Few anti-smoking campaigns focused on female smokers. This resulted in an increase in female smokers not only in Thailand but all over Asia

....I will probably have about a hundred nights in the bars before he gets here so I can make tons of calls.

I think you'll find that there are a lot less than a 100 nights between now and the end of the month. :rotl: I wonder how many calls you've really made. None I expect. All Internet bravado.

I had no idea you were coming in a month when I wrote that - unlike the lady boy bars I do not keep track of your visits. So, I will only have about 20 nights in the bars, and maybe only 40 reports. Much less than 100 nights in the bars.

Of course, when you are here, I will look for cigar smokers with my 02 590-3342 on my speed dial. Maybe I can watch you pony up the fine!!

You poor little stinky man, coming to Bangkok so infrequently, looking for ashtrays and smelling like a puppy slept in your mouth, or like you were providing ATM service for the lady boys.

I hope that your smoking does not induce ED when the magic moment comes to pound that pencil into your underpaid victim. Try a breath mint and you may not get quoted the big price :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

I do not go to meetings on Fridays, I go to bars with no smoke and find girls to bang. Based on the quality of your posts, I doubt whether hearing what you have to say in person would compete with my present rituals.

Of course, if there are people smoking in the bars I just call this handy little number. Maybe I will wait around for the cops, maybe not. If you hear giggling when you pay the fine you will know that I stuck around to watch. My barfines always are willing to wait to see that. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
