yfs
Can anyone recommend quality inexpensive ear buds? My iPod one's are ok for low noise environs, but I want more bass and a good seal into the ear canal.
Pom Michael
good post - another one I would like is ones with retractable wires.
..
I like my Etymotic Research Er-6i IEMs. Does not have a retractable cord tho'. The high-end sound shop in Emporium (3F, I think, near the front escalator anyway) has them. Cheers, SD
kamui
For quality I would definitely recommend Sure Earphones.
..
Personally think they are overpriced...and they are very fickle as to how you insert them into you ear -- it affects the bass sound a lot if they are not positioned perfectly IME. The Etymotics are not nearly as sensitive to positioning. EDIT: OP: of course, sorry, none of these suggestions are inexpensive (I just noticed that requirement), but they do offer fantastic sound and eliminate external noise (I love the Etymotics for use on airplanes). Orangutan
Small size earphones rather than ear buds will give you the best sonic quality. Sony makes some great looking and sounding small earphones. -O
yfs
The answer is Skull Candy. Ink'd are what I'm using now. 15 dollars. Good starting off point. There's better, but for just walking around, these buds are pretty good.

There's better, but for just walking around, these buds are pretty good. FYI- I've had 3 sets of 1100 THB Skull Candies go bad (1 side stops working), each after 8-11 months. I'm currently just using my Samsung Gal S2 buds
