No, they were all great girls. It was a real mix in my flat in Vientiane, they would turn up with shopping bags of food in droves and cook up huge Lao meals, then loaf in front of the TV playing cards for the rest of the day.

I was tempted many times and even got a couple of offers, (one sent her uncle to negotiate) but I was with one of the loves of my life at the time and you know how that goes.

One of the great years of my life.

I prefer to Anglicize "dream" (à¸Âัà¸?) and "tooth" (à¸?ัà¸?) as fun, vs fan. Sounds closer to the pronunciation IMHO.

 

OH, you are thinking à¹Âà¸?à¸?, which can be written fan or (better) faen.
