elef
"Family" - so are the children also in England? Already yesterday there were rumours that they planned to go to London, but that Thaksin later today will announce that he alone will return to BKK. True or not, soon we'll see. Bangkok Post 11-08-2008 Link Lawyer says Thaksin and family arrive in England (BangkokPost.com) - Mr Vichit Plangsrikul, the lawyer of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, confirmed that his client and family have arrived in England. Thaksinâ??s legal team is currently drafting a report to explain why the deposed premier and his wife, Khunying Potjaman, failed to appear before the court in Thailand on Monday. The team is expected to submit the report to the Criminal Division for Persons Holding Political Positions of the Supreme Court on Monday afternoon, but it is waiting to hear Mr Thaksinâ??s statement with the foreign media in England first. Mentors
It's definitive: :smirk: Deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra sent a written statement to the media on Monday, saying he and his wife, Khunying Potjaman, are in Britain and will not return to Thailand to fight his corruption charges, citing political interference in the justice system Mr Thaksin claimed that he was being defamed and threatened. The former premier said he will always be loyal to the royal constitution, and is not an evil person as being accused. If there is a chance, he would like to live and die in Thailand, according to the statement. http://www.bangkokpost.com/breaking_news/breakingnews.php?id=129518
