bust Posted August 11, 2008 Report Share Posted August 11, 2008 I have been having a few issues lately with my laptop being slow and was talking to the Ironing Lady about getting an external hard drive. Place near where I am working at the moment had a sale on and I picked up a Lacie 160G at a bargain. Friday night she and a few of her friends take me out for dinner for my birthday and she brings along a gift all nicely wrapped with card and bow etc. She tells me how she agonized over what to get me. So I unwrap it and guess what......is a 500G external hard drive. So now I am faced with the choice of saying nothing and having something I don't need or telling her I had already bought one and wait for the reaction which I know will be tearful. Just not sure how TGs react to this type of stuff as I remember when another one bought me a shirt once and it didn't fit she locked herself in the bathroom crying for an hour.
