Minutes ago, on Good Morning America, Governor Bill Richardson announced that, after 8 years of investigation, he has decided not to pardon Billy the Kid, even after a former New Mexico governor from the 1880's had promised Billy a pardon. It seems that sometime after fulfilling his part of the bargain by testifying at a trail, Billy shot dead two law enforcement officials. Something like that provides motivation. I t was very political back then, more like two sides in a range war. Billy's side lost and the winners were trying to kill off the losers while escaping punishment for their own deeds. Meanwhile, back to the future ...
