bibblies
what the hell is à ¸?à ¹?à ¸?à ¸§ for example? My two online dictionaries don't have it). The start seemed boring too so I've given up for now... I'll let a better man in a better mood take the glory! don't assume that Thais always spell right! à ¸?à ¹?à ¸?à ¸§à ¹?à ¸¡à ¸? is wrong; it should be à ¸?à ¸§à ¹?à ¸¡à ¸? = hour(s). you gave up after the first sentence when it actually started to get interesting! Yeah, I thought it had to be à ¸?à ¸§à ¹?à ¸¡à ¸?. But then I thought "Well, there are bound to be loads more mistakes in it like that. It's not worth it". Why the hell did an escort ad start off about politics?
samak
it's not about politics...just a bit a creative and unusual opening 2 liner; then biz as usual the OP did not come back on this! he obviously expected something totally different! radioman
Sorry, need to be more awake with regard to my own posts I guess. Apparently, and I have no stake in this one way or the other so don't beat me up, it has connections to young ladies whose daily dress is black and white. I would be very interested to hear what happened if anybody should perchance venture to try the number. Cheers

preahko
As a language professional, I gotta say, it always amazes me how people somehow think the ability to translate between two languages (especially two as different as English and Thai) is something they can easily get people to do for them for free....!! In my University job I'm constantly getting requests to translate this or that, as if years of busting my ass to acquire these skills should just be shared with the world for nothing....?! People, would you ask a plumber to work on your pipes for free, or a doctor to set your broken arm for nothing?? preahko
samak
you are questioning one of the basic principle of this board! advise from fellow board members free of charge! the OP did not get a translation word by word, but at least he got the big picture what it is all about, of which he had obviously no clue! khunsanuk
Hi, While I agree with the principle issue you bring up (I used to get the same with computer skills, always people asking you to fix their PC for free), but I think that asking for small translations is fine. And with that I mean a sentence or word here or there. I would imagine that if someone posted an entire article in Thai asking it to be translated, he'd not get many replies. Sanuk! Mekong
I agree with Samak and KS on this, if someone asks a question and I can offer my advice / opinion I will chip in, if not why bother being on the forum. You probably spent more time having your little rant than it would have taken to answer the op but that is your perogative. What I have found over the years is that advice goes both ways and on more than one occasion people have repaid me with 2-3 beers and it is how some friendships have started in BKK
