Weird
I don't have anything' date=' nothing to take half of! [/quote'] Well . . . half your FUTURE earnings. For starters! Well anything earned while married... Sorta should be split since we're sharing each others lives while it was acculmulated (in my opinion anyway), otherwise there was no point in being married. Mekong
No fight over assets and or property? It took me over 5 years to get possesion back on the Marital apartment, well worth the fight!
unit731
Hate to break it to you, but entering a legal marriage *is* a prenuptual agreement. If you don't like the governments terms, then write your own. Marriage is an extremely serious legal matter so it makes sense to do it right for your circumstances rather than taking the defaults for dummies. It really is amazing how stupid some are. These same people probably don't have a will either. Let the government decide. Or better yet - RE Trusts!
jitagawn
This IS ABSURD. No worries... if I had to get married I would happily just sign up to give aways half my estate.
