Mentors
It's better than nothing it's all about Location location location, I'm sounding like a Ozzie TV series, the thing is it has a lift. not like many place in Hau Hin that don't have any Hua Hin city is so small, it doesn't matter which hotel you take. You are everywhere in "location".
samak
not really true! it's quite a distance down to Thakiab or up towards Cha-Am beyond the airport or up the hills west of Hua Hin. depends on perspective: from this: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/map.htm over this: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-map.htm to the big picture: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-area-map.htm

samak
if any Hilton in the world i would spare for some more high end and more expensive ones! you can get very good low rates in oct at Hilton Hua Hin...and the Sofitel is actually better! Hilton is also a bit too close to Soi Bintabat for a couple!
Torneyboy
Have stayed at them both many times ...works well with our schedule to stay with The Hilton group.... Night life is not as trashy as Bkk ..many bars in that Soi ..we both enjoy a drink and live music ..so no problems ..just as long as i don't try to wonder off on my own..... Re rates: ..you can't' beat Free!
