Faustian
Vegemite is a weak and lame imitation of marmite. I've tried both. Marmite on toast, with ham on top and melted extra mature chedder cheese atop that, followed with a cup of coffee or tea. Possibly the greatest food experience known to mankind. Toaster and grill required...University staple food. Oh how I miss it.
Flashermac
Are we talking jam or jelly here?I could never work it out. Jam is thick and has hunks of fruit in it. Jelly is thinner and nowhere near as good. Plenty of Muricans don't know the difference. They are the ones guilty of ruining good jam with peanie butter and vice versa. Jelly is cheaper than jam. It's for poor folks and starving university students.

I've seen Marmite for sale in Thailand... Foodland perhaps?

Julian2
I could never work it out how a race who got it so right with mustard, kippers, bacon and eggs and roast beef could get it so wrong with Marmite.
