ThaiHome
Second day. Pick nephew up at the wat and take over the district community center. More chanting, etc, Walk around the wat 9 times. Done this several times, but never with some 80 guys going in at the same time. Almost a riot, but good natured. All the drunks from the show the night before still going strong. After spending 8 hours or so in the wat, all the new monks put on their robes and do a alms gathering among the crowd that has been waiting all day. Canâ??t post any more then these as all the others have family in and I wonâ??t put them on the internet. TH
Central Scrutinizer
We did the same thing a month or so ago. Nephew went into the monkhood after completing his military service. My wife is his favorite aunt and he considers her to be more of a mother to him than his own mother. Really great kid. He has his head on straight. He's here in my house now as he just got out of the Wat and finished his time as a monk last weekend. He'll stay with us a while then go back to work and save his money to buy his own house. Sad thing is while he was in the Wat as a monk his younger brother was murdered during the Surin Elephant festival. Gang shit. Younger brother has always been a bit of a wild one and in trouble. We thought he had calmed down and straightened out as he has 2 young kids now, babies really. He had an argument with some local toughs who followed him and a friend on their motocyke. One of the pillion riders used a 2x4 to bash his brains in from behind from their motocyke, which caused the driver to crash as well. He lived a week on a respirator. Once the family allowed the doctor to pull the plug on the respirator he lasted only 24 hours. Severe had injury. Sad shit. Stupid shit. Usual shit that happens when they have large concerts that all the boys here attend doped up and drunk up. Cent

ThaiHome
As noted in the dicussion on setting the gallery up (and still being a dickhead about it), would I then have to split my last set betwen Family Places, Wats and Temples, and Rural life?
