CTO Posted November 28, 2008 Report Share Posted November 28, 2008 Barnham and Bailey Circus Barnham was a friend of Baily's - they had a circus but Baily preferred trying to get young girls drunk than to working as a clown so he invented a drink to get young girls drunk as the girls then didn't like the taste of beer or spinach cider (very tart - no pun intended). Sadly "Baileys Irish Cream" as he called his drink, was also popular with gay gentlemen and one night, well, let's just not go there - it was a rather ignoble end to a fine inventor.
