Lusty
My Norton is set to "auto scan"every Monday evening and it takes about two hours. It's scans as of this week 792,703 items! OK its scans all my photos and I would have thought that once would have been enough, which probably only amount too around 1500 on my hard drive. WTF is it looking at? Thanx

Faustian
Lusty, is that a sudden increase from previous weeks? If so, you might have a problem. Otherwise, Norton should scan everything! Lots of places for malware to reside these days. Caches often hold lots of crap....clean them out! kamui
I would say too that it is time to clean your cache. I would recommend the freeware CCleaner.
khunsanuk
Hi, When Lusty says 'items' I assume he means 'files' rather than 'issues found by Norton'. 800K files isn't that outrageous I think. Kamui's suggestion of clearing the cache is definitely a good one. Sanuk!
drogon
KS is right, 800K files are not that unusual....
