Looking for the proper phrase...

Aloha all,

A friend of mine is going through a rough patch in her life & Iâ??ve been talking with her, trying to give her back a little self confidence & self-esteem. Sheâ??s always been very independent, a bit stubborn, but generally strong woman. Iâ??ve always liked her and donâ??t mind taking a little time to help her out. I was hoping to tell her she has a â??strong spiritâ? or â??strong heartâ?Â, Iâ??d like to do so in Thai but have no idea of the phrase to use. Iâ??d also like to do this WITHOUT insulting her! :) Is there a way to do so in a polite, positive way???

Hope someone has the gouge, appreciate any & all help! My Thai is marginal at best; some help in proper pronunciation would be helpful as well.

TIA & Mahalo

word you could use is manjai มั, which means confident

man: firm, certain, stable

jai: heart

a lot of thai words describing a emotional status are words with "jai" = heart, such as tokjai (fallen heart = shocked, scared), jai dee (heart good = generous) etc.

à¸Âำลัà¸?à¹?à¸? ( gam-lang jai) = spirit ; moral support ; will ; will power ; courage ; morale

 (Jai)=heart ; mind ; spirit

à¹Âà¸?à¹?à¸? (Kaeng)= be hard ; be strong ; be solid ; be firm
