Boomah
Aloha all, A friend of mine is going through a rough patch in her life & Iâ??ve been talking with her, trying to give her back a little self confidence & self-esteem. Sheâ??s always been very independent, a bit stubborn, but generally strong woman. Iâ??ve always liked her and donâ??t mind taking a little time to help her out. I was hoping to tell her she has a â??strong spiritâ? or â??strong heartâ?Â, Iâ??d like to do so in Thai but have no idea of the phrase to use. Iâ??d also like to do this WITHOUT insulting her! Is there a way to do so in a polite, positive way??? Hope someone has the gouge, appreciate any & all help! My Thai is marginal at best; some help in proper pronunciation would be helpful as well. TIA & Mahalo Boomah
skirtlifter
'Jai dee' means good heart. Not sure if that's useful. Cheers
samak
word you could use is manjai à ¸¡à ¸±à ¹?à ¸?à ¹?à ¸?, which means confident man: firm, certain, stable jai: heart a lot of thai words describing a emotional status are words with "jai" = heart, such as tokjai (fallen heart = shocked, scared), jai dee (heart good = generous) etc.
