The UK government has already been printing money. That's what central banks have to do in fiat currency regimes. The balance sheet of the Bank of England grew something like 200 billion pounds in October alone.

 

I wish you were joking about secretly printing money. I saw something in the telegraph last week that said there were plans to scrap the requirement for the BoE to publish their balance sheet weekly as they do today.
