Here's a new twist as to who is #1 and the bowl games. And the writer is right, it's not about bragging rights but all about money. The rich get richer and the poor stay poor. Gee, that's life, politics, and sports too, no matter where you go.

Anyway, hope this hastens college football playoffs, then there is no question aboutt #1, from a sports standpoint.

 

The way the bowls deal out money for hefty bowl payback and the way selections are made and teams are omitted has smacked of collusion for years, but no one wanted to taint college sports, no matter how simple the solution (a playoff) was, it has been avoided for football even though it is there for all the other collegiate sports.
