Julian2
Return power to the people! Which one ... Thaksin? Let's have an election and have done with it. Bet the Reds might be in for a surprise when they can't get a majority nationwide! (Then "true democracy" will begin behind the scenes as small parties try to sell their support to the highest bidder.) You're not suggesting Thaksin bought their support and later they sold out to Abhisit? Oh ye of little faith... ThaiHome assures us that they were conscience stricken at breaking their election promises and decided to do the right thing by the country. Abhisit is scheduled to travel to Hanoi to attend the ten-member Summit on Thursday. In a TV-pool programme, the premier said he would cut short his stay in Vietnam so that he could return to Thailand to handle the protests. Mentors
Chavalit to Abhisit: Dissolve the House Puea Thai Party chairman Chavalit Yongchaiyudh on Monday repeated his call for Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to dissolve the House of Representatives immediately. [color:red]He said at a press conference that Mr Abhisit had made a big mistake by ordering soldiers to forcefully disperse the red-shirt protesters on Saturday night, thus allowing a third-hand party to step in and create violence. [color:red]Gen Chavalit said almost everybody knew who the third-hand was. The only way of ending the political crisis now was for Mr Abhisit to immediately dissolve the House of Representatives, he said. Gen Chavalit also advised the parties in the coalition to rethink about their idea of dissolving the House in three to six months, instead of nine months as earlier proposed by the prime minister. He said this would only escalate the problem. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/politics/174487/chavalit-tells-abhisit-to-dissolve-house
