Re-entry Permits No Longer Available At Suvarnabhumi

At a guess I would say it is tied in with the changes to the 90 day reporting rules whereas reporting has to be done a the immigration office nearest to declared registered address.

I am under the impression, but I may be wrong, that re-entry permits are now only being re-issued from the foreigners local immigration office. I always get a new 12 month multi whenever I renew my visa at Suan Phlu so I haven't noticed any differance.

Correct. No more re-entry permits issued except at the immigration office having jurisdiction of the province of your residence.

They may issue such permits at Suvarnabhumi in case of emergency.
