Coss Posted January 25, 2009 Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 The last night in Pattaya and I took Sang Som to the Matahari restaurant at the top of the Pattaya/Jomtiem hill. I'd previously been a fan of Matahari when it was near Soi 7 on 2nd road many years ago and had not realised where it had moved to. The place is large and opulent, the right lighting, soft music, posh decor and attentive staff. San Som bless her ordered a Thai Curry, only one, and rice. I say only one because she has a habit of ordering two breakfasts and eating most of them, a thin girl but she obviously needs fuel. I had Fois Gras with apple and then a slow braised NZ Lamb Shank. These were followed by Creme´ Brulee for her and Cheeses for me. With a bottle of Rose´ we were replete.
