cardinalblue
The tourist visa has always been 60 days with a 30 day extension. Now has this changed? As to border runs, the Tourist visa has nothing to do with border runs. If you are lucky to have a two-entry T.V. then obviously one has to go out of the country (the border is just one option) to activate the second entry of the visa... Let us know if this has changed... CB
FreeTime
I just checked the Thai Consulate web site in Vancouver. Under the visa section, it advises on the maximum 60 days as you indicate. However, in the 'FAQ' section, mention is made that a double entry or triple entry tourist visa is available. I travel to Thailand each year on a triple entry tourist visa. Each entry is valid for 60 days. Typically I do a day border run twice during the winter, and stay nearly 6 months in total.
