Another crackdown on after hour places in Bkk?

I could never understand why people stay out so late drinking in Bangkok.

Why not go home at say 8/9 p.m. with 2 girls instead of one, rather then waste that extra 1500 baht on alcohol - surely one can grab a bottle of sprits from 7/11 before going out, or when going back to home/hotel and enjoy an evening of indoor sports.

Because people like to socialise? Check out what's happening?

To lazy to mix own drinks.

Their barfine wants so show off the handsome guy she's acquired?

1. Invite your mates around to socialize by the hotel pool if you cannot meet in the day or are too lonely :)

2. The girls are not only their for their womanly charms, your paying, get them to mix the drinks - and if they don't do a good job, spank their lovable asses!

3. That's why you should take two, they can talk amongst themselves how hansum you are, and how they lub you so mak mak!

If I would be a visitor your advice might be valuable.

But after living over 15 years in Bangkok, I rather prefer to have a good night out than take 2 farm girls back home and shag them all night.

What really pisses me off is the arbitrariness of the police raids. I wouldn't care much and adopt if I know places will close at 2:00am. However, not knowing when they will come and if how many days/weeks this BS lasts is a real nuisance.

hmm maybe arrange an afterhour club hopping one friday (after a meeting) or any other night & see if any of the opposing views might change (over plenty drinks)? :hmmm::drunk:

or is there too few (open) 'after hours club to even arrange a 'hopping' now? I know at least 2 who will run well into the sunshine morning hours & does usually have an 'interesting' mix of people - well at least 1 of the joints :cover:

anyone?

bubi, interesting q on bali - when I last visited not so long after the 'event' (less than 1y I believe) business for sure hadn't picked up - not even close - It might never be the 'preferred' Asian resort/surfer destination & Phuket/Samui probably never will ever/again - not sure what other choices there are though :hmmm::banghead:

Bali bombings didn't last following a survey conducted by the major EU tour operators (which cover standard tourist not hardcore ones who owuld travel no matter what happens).

Bali after effects lasted maximum 6 months, same was valid for Egypt terrorist attacks, 6 months for the tsunami...

Recent survey led by the Franco-Thai chamber of commerce among the leading hotels of BKK concluded that the airport's blockade didn't significantly affect Thailand tourism -> but the big problem is the worldwide crisis...

I suppose that average people being so used to "daily bad news" fed to them by medias don't care anymore about episodical "incidents".

Of course, these days nobody could plan a trip to LOS or wherever if they can't even pay their monthly bills, if in addition they lose their jobs it will do no good....
