Chunky or Smooth?

It was a post today by Faustian in the Useless Posts thread (one of his rare posts that isn't about the weather or lack thereof) that has prompted this fascinating new thread in the Food forum.

 

I've recently taken a liking to peanut butter (tried it a few times in the past but never got into it) and having tried both the chunky and smooth varieties I have to say that I much prefer the smooth version.

 

Now that I'm "into" it I will have to try a PB and jelly sandwich. So what sort of jelly is appropriate to this culinary delicacy?
