samak Posted April 6, 2009 Report Share Posted April 6, 2009 timing is important! when my non immigration visa (renewed every two years) expired, i wanted to do a visa run (land) and get a 30 days visa waiver 3 days before expiration! when i left the immigration officer told me that i would not get the 30 days but only 3 days (!) until my non immigration expired. when i returned i ticked the box for tourist and did not declare my non immigration visa and the immigration officer stamped me in for 30 days!
