gobbledonk
Just sat thru 'New Moon' : had to get out of the house and there is little else on. Looking forward to being able to get the DVDs for Avatar and Zombieland in just a few short weeks.

cavanami
Ninja. *** Kick, jump, chop, etc. OK movie, call it a DTTM (Don't Think Too Mutt) movie, small plot/story. Wrong Turn at Tahoe ***1/2 Lots of action! Shoot 'em, stab, maim and kill. The mafia wives get killed in livid color! Cuba Gooding and other good actors. Not a "must see" but an "OK to see". chuckwoww
'Elephant King' Low budget but quite enjoyable. About 2 brothers in Chiang Mai. It never made general release for obvious reasons. Judge for yourself... http://www.fastpasstv.com/.
Guest HonoluluJimmy
Bangkok Dangerous, Pittyfully inaccurate. I guess they had to buy all those new police cruisers for the movie. Racing a motorcyle thru traffic... A motorbike delivery many dream! Glad I saw it once. Actually the last flic was a sex movie at J.W. one of my regulars from Morning Night Bar loves porn... Gives head and watches at the same time. Since her behind is my way I can doodle it!

gobbledonk
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is the best thing he ever did - I still laugh at the scene where he is laying into a hapless Steve Martin with a belt to prove that Martin cant feel anything from the waist down. The 'May I go to the bathroom ?' scene are alltime for mine.

dave32
Ninja. ***Kick, jump, chop, etc. OK movie, call it a DTTM (Don't Think Too Mutt) movie, small plot/story. Saw 4 movies in LOS this past trip. Mostly because I was hungover, and it's a perfect way to let the brain go and wander while the body rests. I'll rate them in order from the worst: Twilight New Moon: Oh my fucking god this was utter shite. I fell asleep because the dialog was too tortured to bear. The girl I was with liked it because wolf-boy had muscles. I give it a D-- 2012: John Cusack what have you become? Acting was dull and people in the film were uninspired. I enjoyed seeing LA being obliterated so thoroughly, so for that I give it a C. Ninja Assassin. Ok, it was bearable. Good action, not much story, if you see the preview -- you've basically seen the entire film. C+ And one I saw in Pattaya: Bad Lieutenant; Port of Call New Orleans. Not much of a Nicolas Cage fan but I must admit... I liked it. Good film. A-.
