khunsanuk
Hi, Started watching "The men who stare at goats", but couldn't finish it. Totally weird and nothing really happened. Quite boring. Also watched "Ninja Assassin", wasn't that great either. Sanuk!
Julian2
Anyone remember "The High Road To China"? Picked it up in Oz last month and finally got around to watching it (again). Still worth a look.
Hugh_Hoy
J...never heard of it. Saw "Brooklyn's Finest" a couple of nights ago in a theatre. It's only "okay". Usual cop flick about inter-agency rivalries, flawed personalities, dope-dealing Mofo's, lots of killing. Good acting by Gere, Cheadle, et. al. Kind of wasted on a so-so story. dave32
Anyone remember "The High Road To China"? My folks had that on tape, and another Selleck movie too - was actually about Australia, 'Quentin Down Under' or something like that - been a long time... I remember liking them both. chuckwoww
Hit the jackpot on a plane the other night...watched 3 good ones on the seatback...'An Education' screen play by Nick Hornby about a girl growing up in London. 'Frost/Nixon', a dramatized version of the famous interview and 'The Damned United' about Brian Clough's 44 days as manager of Leeds. Michael sheen is a genius. Julian2
I just watched "Scarecrow" on TCM, a 70's Al Pacino and Gene Hackman movie. Most enjoyable, I like both actors and hadn't seen this one before.
dave32
Another Australia film. "The Proposition." Knew Nick Cave wrote it, and like his music. A lot. But was skeptical about a rock guy writing a film worth seeing. It was good. Holy shit it was good. One of the better films I've seen in awhile and I'll probably watch it again. Not for the faint of heart though.
