unit731
Those who wish they were in the military? Have you taken leave of your senses? Oh, yes. I have lost my senses. At some dive bar off of Walking Street in Pattaya. Got back to hotel and all were gone. And I forget which dive bar it was. Whenever I'm in Pattaya I roam the sois and back alleys searching the dive sleeze bars trying to find whatever I lost. An endless journey. Reenactors. The glories of war and the pseudo soldiers who wished that they were part of it. 9B3uNxvSygg Oh, wait, Munches post is about movies. I forgot. dave32
The Alien Girl. Got 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not a good sign. Yet I found it to be worth watching, moreso than most of the higher aggregate scored films. Dark film about brutality and exploitation, with occasional 'human' touches, but not many. Takes place in 90's Russia/Ukraine/Czech Republic and doesn't portray the conversion to capitalism in any romantic sense. The film centers around 'The Alien Girl' an orphan with ties to the mafia who is partial cold and ruthless, partial victim of circumstance, and partial... interesting. Not a 'feel good' film, but -- there's something there.
Palatkik
This film is worthy of it's low star rating as it's pants, but maybe of interest to the likes of you or me for it's Thai setting... a few may recognize the Cowboy girls! WTF is Kevin Bacon doing in this crap I don't know, other than trying to extend his six degrees perhaps? A 2011 BRrip available on torrent already.. not surprised. 4j4m0NwspT0
chelseafan
World Invasion - pretty good. Driving Angry - Typical Cage film of the Ghostrider genre. Kings Speech - Pure Brilliance Source Code - Not bad but ending was poor.
Coss
Love and other Drugs, were it not for Anne Hathaway's nudity, an unremarkable chick flick. But the nudity saves it, quite a lot of times, enough to make me watch the chick flick all the way through. num num.
Coss
I haven't seen this, but "Aussie sex film shocks at Cannes" looks like it's making waves at Cannes .... Link
ozpharlap
Sleeping Beauty: Between her university studies, various casual jobs and bizarre friendship with a suicidal drug addict, Sara, the working name of the ice-cold Lucy, is put to sleep for "erotic" sessions with wealthy old men. How many more films do we have to watch about drug addicts, as if they are the norm in society ... just because the star is a young and sexy nymph it is art-house, but if it is a 50 year old balding twat it's a B grade porno film
waerth
Mongol by Sergei Bodrov (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongol_%28film%29) beautifully shot. And a beautiful Mongolian woman portraying Genghis Khan's wife Borte .... Almost makes me want to fly over there right now! Waerth

Coss
Elephant White ""The highlight of this film is Kevin Bacon's accent. He plays 'Jimmy the Brit' just so everyone knows he's supposed to be British (not an Aussie). His accent is a cross between Jason Statham and Dick Van Dyke with a good dollop of Ramsey-esque swearing thrown in. Djimon Hounsou plays 'Curtie Church' (seriously) a troubled, spiritual mercenary with a conscience (Steven Seagal must have been unavailable). He has little to do in the film apart from shooting, slicing and generally rolling around an ever increasing number of bad guys. The characters are all stereotypical, the script is lazy ("You're dark, and I don't mean your skin tone...") and the action scenes are bland, boring and forgettable."" stereotypical yes - all hookers are gang raped and heroin addicts a reasonable attempt at Thai ghosts though
