Coss
Then you'll like this - I did. If I say, mermaids, musical, you might be thinking Disney? Well relax, think nudity, gore, Polish night club, surprisingly good 80's synth rock. The Lure (2015) or Córki dancingu (original title) One dark night, at water's edge, a family of musicians encounter aquatic sirens Silver and Golden. After assuring the family that they won't eat them up, the winsome sirens are recruited to join the Figs and Dates band at a neon-lit Warsaw dance club. When Silver becomes romantically entangled with beautiful blonde bassist Mietek, the more cunning Golden, who cannot escape her bloodthirsty nature, worries that her sister's relationship will doom their shared dream of swimming to a new life in America. IMDB Not the Rock Opera that Tommy is, but enjoyable, yes. Well worth a watch.

Coss
Viking (2016) - Russian, the only subtitles I could find look like they were done with Google Translate and by a dyslexic, not synched, nor could I reliably synch them. However: This is a well made movie, from the hunting of a Bison in the winter'd north, to the very cute and spunky, naked princess bouncing about on the Viking, the whole is worth the watch despite the lack of understandable narrative. 2 hrs 13 mins Kievan Rus, late 10th century. After the death of his father, Svyatoslav I, ruler of Kievan Rus, the young Viking prince Vladimir of Novgorod (Danila Kozlovsky) is forced into exile across the frozen sea to escape his treacherous half-brother Yaropolk (Aleksandr Ustyugov), who has murdered his other brother Oleg (Kirill Pletnyov) and conquered the Viking territory of Kievan Rus. The old warrior Sveneld (Maksim Sukhanov) convinces Vladimir to assemble a Varangian armada, hoping to reconquer Novgorod from Yaropolk and ultimately face the mighty Byzantine forces. Palatkik
The Circle [2017] A social media thriller more suited to TV raises questions but answers none, full of plot holes and feels hollow.
khunsanuk
Hi, Watched 'Logan' last night. Super human / mutant movie, but quite different to the other X-Men movies. Much darker. Enjoyed it. Sanuk!
Coss
Prisoner X (2016) On a cold February night, a young man is found unconscious at the wheel of a crashed vehicle in Montana not far from the Canadian border and a lump of weapons-grade Uranium is recovered from the trunk. He is immediately thrown into a high-security prison and tortured relentlessly for months. But apart from a few vicious-sounding curses in an unknown language, he utters nothing. Then one day out of the blue, he gives his interrogators a list of numbers and letters, which turn out to be astronomical coordinates of upcoming Supernova explosions. The very next day the first of those celestial events occurs exactly as predicted, sending shock-waves through the security establishment. It's obvious; the man in custody is no ordinary terrorist. IMDB Not bad, worth a watch.
Coss
Locked Up (2017) When an American teenager gets bullied at her school in Southeast Asia, she fights back--and gets sent to a reform school. But the "school" is more like a prison, and the young teenager IMDB If you want to watch a plumper, go on then, scenes of rape and violence in Bangkok. Notable for bad acting, not worth a watch IMHO
Coss
Security (2017) A security guard protects a woman who is being targeted by a gang for participating as a trial witness. In a shopping mall, woo hoo... Still, Antonio Banderas, Ben Kingsley, not too bad, worth a watch
Coss
Awakening the Zodiac (2017) The story follows a down-on-their-luck couple who discovers a serial killer's film reels. Quite good this, the leads are a bit too obviously intelligent for the trailer park morons they are portraying, but, worth a watch.
Palatkik
Away [2016] Good performances, average albeit engaging story with a criminal theme of two lost souls from different ages who cross paths and bond. Set in the English seaside town of Blackpool, the time leaps keeps viewers on their toes.
