When Silver becomes romantically entangled with beautiful blonde bassist Mietek, the more cunning Golden, who cannot escape her bloodthirsty nature, worries that her sister's relationship will doom their shared dream of swimming to a new life in America. Not the Rock Opera that Tommy is, but enjoyable, yes. Well worth a watch.

Viking (2016) - Russian, the only subtitles I could find look like they were done with Google Translate and by a dyslexic, not synched, nor could I reliably synch them. However:

 

This is a well made movie, from the hunting of a Bison in the winter'd north, to the very cute and spunky, naked princess bouncing about on the Viking, the whole is worth the watch despite the lack of understandable narrative. 2 hrs 13 mins

 

Kievan Rus, late 10th century. After the death of his father, Svyatoslav I, ruler of Kievan Rus, the young Viking prince Vladimir of Novgorod (Danila Kozlovsky) is forced into exile across the frozen sea to escape his treacherous half-brother Yaropolk (Aleksandr Ustyugov), who has murdered his other brother Oleg (Kirill Pletnyov) and conquered the Viking territory of Kievan Rus. The old warrior Sveneld (Maksim Sukhanov) convinces Vladimir to assemble a Varangian armada, hoping to reconquer Novgorod from Yaropolk and ultimately face the mighty Byzantine forces.

Watched 'Logan' last night. Super human / mutant movie, but quite different to the other X-Men movies. Much darker.

Prisoner X (2016)

 

On a cold February night, a young man is found unconscious at the wheel of a crashed vehicle in Montana not far from the Canadian border and a lump of weapons-grade Uranium is recovered from the trunk. The story follows a down-on-their-luck couple who discovers a serial killer's film reels.

 

Quite good this, the leads are a bit too obviously intelligent for the trailer park morons they are portraying, but, worth a watch.

Away [2016]

 

Good performances, average albeit engaging story with a criminal theme of two lost souls from different ages who cross paths and bond. Set in the English seaside town of Blackpool, the time leaps keeps viewers on their toes.
