Holy Lands (2018)

Harry Rosenmerck, an Ashkenazi Jewish American cardiologist, left everything to become a pig farmer in the Holy Land.

Stars:

Efrat Dor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Rosanna Arquette, James Caan (the pig farmer)

Fun movie! He starts a pig farm in Israel. The Jews are down on him as well as the Muslims. There is a crazy priest trying to
make him leave his land.
His family is screwed up but the film pulls all this together for an enjoyable movie.

Bardo Blues (2017)

Bardo Blues is the story of a man coming to grips with tragedy by escaping to paradise. Set in Thailand, Bardo Blues follows Jack as he struggles to learn the truth about the mother that abandoned him and his own reason for existing. Weaving spiritual awakenings and soulful struggle, Bardo Blues will leave you questioning everything you think you know about who you are, where you came from and where you're going.

Stars:

Stephen McClintic, Marcia Kimpton, Gina Haining

Interesting concept for the movie based on an actual story and experience. Filmed in the USA and Chiang Rai.

Not a movie a TV mini series - Chernobyl

Very, very good. So good the Russians are not happy.

Whilst it does lay the blame for Chernobyl at the door of the Soviet government, I reckon it shows the same kinds of people, in the same kinds of roles, that you would find in any kind of government and therein lies the blame. People clinging to their perceived power, status and ignorance.

Also a good telling of the story. Excellent acting throughout, Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård - I'll go so far as to say - required watching.

Unacknowledged (2017)

"Unacknowledged" focuses on the historic files of the Disclosure Project and how UFO secrecy has been ruthlessly enforced-and why. The best evidence for extraterrestrial contact, dating back decades, is presented with direct top-secret witness testimony, documents and UFO footage, 80% of which has never been revealed anywhere else. The behind-the-scenes research and high-level meetings convened by Dr. Steven Greer will expose the degree of illegal, covert operations at the core of UFO secrecy. From briefings with the CIA Director, top Pentagon Generals and Admirals, to the briefing of President Obama via senior advisor John Podesta, chairman of the Hillary Clinton Campaign, we take the viewer behind the veil of secrecy and into the corridors of real power where the UFO secrets reside. The viewer will learn that a silent coup d'état has occurred dating back to the 1950s and that the Congress, the President and other world leaders have been sidelined by criminal elements within the military-industrial-financial complex.

Interesting. 1h40m, well put together. Dr. Steven Greer is well spoken.

Forgive - Don't Forget (2018)

A sweeping journey about an American returning a surrendered Japanese samurai sword from World War II.

Interesting movie. A family in the USA had Japanese swords given to them at the WW II surrender of Japan. The swords sat in a closet for 60+ years and one of the sons decided to try to return the sword to the Japanese owner. Quite the undertaking!
Only a little over 1 hour doco.

Excellent watch!!!
