nkped
BRAVE Animated and G rated but quite good. Heroine's parents want to arrange a dynastic marriage with one of the sons of three other chieftans. She takes a look at the selection and decides "Thanks, but no thanks." Suspect TGs would love it. TED Good reviews but the gag, a talking, pot smoking, whore mongering teddy bear, gets old quickly. The human lead is a 35 year old slacker who should be banging the hell out of his not girl friend, prefers to smoke pot with his teddy bear. TO ROME WITH LOVE Another Woody Allen movie with no plot but quite watchable.
Mekong
I missed out on this when it was released but Four Lions A comedy about 4 incompetent British Jihadists and their bungled attempts at terror attacks, total tongue in cheek, no need to think and quite amusing
ALHOLK
RED Impressive cast. Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren among others. Not the greatest movie I have seen but well worth looking at.
kamui
Once Upon a Time in Phuket / En gång i Phuket Swedish 2011 relationship comedy. A middle class guy who lost the plot in his job and personal life goes to Phuket for a summer holiday. There he only meets other Swedish people. Thai's don't exist at all except as silent, demure servants somewhere in the background. An unintended study about Farangs traveling to the East who are completely stuck in their own extremely narrow comfort zone and who avoid any contact with Asia and Asians completely. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2082262/ It can be found at Piratebay
kamui
Expendables 2 Watched it on large screen. With Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, e.g. The story is extremely flat and has holes a tank could drive through. Some good jokes by the old-stars on her previous roles. Not worth to pay for

The_Munchmaster
Watched 6 films on my flights from London to Dubai and Dubai to Bangkok last week and actually enjoyed them all! Act of Valor (as LP said above) Safe (Jason Statham kicking Chinese and Russian ass) Brave (animation about Scottish princess) The Hunter (Willem Dafoe hunting extinct Tasmanian Tiger) Dark Tide (Halle Berry putting on wet suits plus some great white sharks) Men in Black 3 (no need to explain)
BelgianBoy
Act of Valor (as LP said above) agree, but nice on a big screen Safe (Jason Statham kicking Chinese and Russian ass) I stopped after 10 minutes, booooring Brave (animation about Scottish princess) yes, agree The Hunter (Willem Dafoe hunting extinct Tasmanian Tiger) a well done movie, but no more than that Dark Tide (Halle Berry putting on wet suits plus some great white sharks) anything with Hale Berry is worth watching Men in Black 3 (no need to explain) not seen yet..... sayjann
a little off topic. what is this thing for re-makes?. Total Recall and Judge Dredd coming out soon. not the best of films in the first place and i certainly won't be wasting cash going to see them. do the film studios have no new ideas of films?. while not strictly a re-make a version of The Sweeney,a great British TV series of the 70's is coming to the silver screen soon. as much as i like Ray Winstone i can't see him playing the Jack Regan role as well as John Thaw did. but only my opinion.
