Land Parceling?

Just heard about a friend's mother being told she has too much land in Issaarn, and the land Management office or what not has said she has to re parcel it, or sell some off etc...She was told she had 7 days to do something (oddly during songkron?), or she could lose some land...

Yes, this does sound like bullshit to me, at least not knowing all the facts...I have heard of such things before, but they usually turned out to be just that, bullshit.

As for now, the mother plans to distribute some of her land amongst her kids...has anyone else heard of this type of thing? Is it possible to own "too much land"in Thailand?

For the record, this is NOT a bar girl asking for money, this is a Thai friend here who's family is having this problem.
